Sandra Bullock: Always A Delight
Sandra Bullock, without a doubt, is one of my favorite actresses. I've been a fan since she played Annie in Speed. What I love about Sandra is her ability to not only become the character but to be the character. She puts so much of herself in every character she plays. There is a realness in her performance that makes you fall in love with each character. There's not one character that you don't feel represents Sandra in some way shape or form even if we don't know her personally. She really shines through in each film. Even if the film isn't great (All About Steve), you love the movie anyway because of her. Sandra brings out the best in her leading men; from Keanu Reeves in Speed and The Lake House to Ryan Reynolds in The Proposal. My favorite Sandra Bullock film is not one of her most popular ones but it is to me, a Bullock classic, it's Hope Floats. Sandra plays Birdie, a woman who finds out about her husband's affair on public television then faced with getting back on her feet, finding herself while taking care of her little girl Bernice (Mae Whitman). Gena Rowland plays the proud mother/grandmother in the film and her leading man is Harry Connick Jr. The film is heartwarming and it's just so romantic and strong. The men whom I feel shine with Sandra the most are Keanu Reeves, Harry Connick Jr., Benjamin Bratt, Ryan Reynolds, Bill Pullman, and Tim McGraw. I would love to meet Sandra someday. She is a great actress, mother, and individual. I don't know her personally but it's all in the way she carries herself. She is a classy lady.
