Film Review: Fifty Shades Freed

Image
Fifty Shades Freed Starring Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Rita Ora, Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Ehle and Kim Basinger I couldn't very well list all the stars now could I? I got the bulk of them. Are you sensing a bit of reviewer hostility? Of course you are and now you're going to find out why. *There are spoilers so if you haven't seen this film, you've been warned. The film opens with Ana and Christian's wedding. The vows were unfeeling, emotionless, a mere delivery of a line. I don't feel a love between them; It's more of a lust and obsession than love. Christian shows his childishness during their honeymoon in "boobland" or France. He gets controlling when she wants to be like the French girls, sunbathe topless. Christian is like a jealous little boy. That's what he acts like. In the club scene, a man walks up behind Ana, grabs her hips and tries to dance with her. He tries to hit on Ana when she slaps him. Christian immediately step

Full Film Review: Jem and the Holograms the movie

Released: October 23, 2015 Starring: Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott, Aurora Perrineau, Hayley Kiyoko, Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald, & Juliette Lewis For those not familiar with Jem and the Holograms, this film is based on the original '80s cartoon Jem and the Holograms. Some of you may have read my pre-review that was based on the trailer which I completely ripped the film apart. I was looking forward to doing that once I saw the film but I can't; that's right, I can't rip the film apart. The story itself has been reinvented to stray away from the cartoon. The problem with doing this is that those of us who are big fans of the cartoon find ourselves extremely disappointed. The film is missing the key elements of the story that made us love the cartoon however I must give the director, stylists, and writers, credit because when you look closely at certain elements, the basis of the cartoon are there. With that said, let's dive right in shall we? In this live

Film Review: Suite Francaise

Suite Francaise Starring Michelle Williams, Matthias Schoenaerts, & Kristin Scott Thomas An enchanting film based on the book by Irene Nemirovsky. It's a love story in the mist of World War II creating a Romeo & Juliet type atmosphere. Lucile's husband is away at war as she resides with her mother in law in France. France is captured by the Germans and the French find their homes to be no longer their own as they are forced to house German soldiers as requested. Much to their dismay Lucile and her mother in law are asked to provide housing for a German officer named Bruno. Though reluctant at first, Lucile begins to open up to the German soldier and he opens up to her. They become friends in the sense that allowed them at the time to be but those feelings grow especially after Lucile discovers a heartbreaking truth about her absent husband. Through their time together, Lucile and Bruno eventually give in to their desires knowing that what they're doing is forb
